I am deeply saddened that Christopher Lee could not be with us anymore at the premiere. But I am sure he was there. We were all amazed by his wonderfully generous artistic contribution to our film. I am very grateful that I had the honour to work with him on several films and proud to have known as a friend him for over 30 years.
I had hoped he could do his two voice roles in German, the language that he spoke so well. Christopher wasa amazing. He could speak, sing and act in 12 languages. He was a voice genius, a legendary, charismatic actor, an activist for world peace and human rights and an incredibly kind, spirited and courageous man with a wonderful humour, who hasdthoroughhly studied philosophy, history, art and music. But above all, he was a truly great friend for all my life.
The premiere in London and Germany was dedicated to Christopher Lee, because "Angels in Notting Hill" was his last film. The film was shown in London and Germany - with subtitles to leave his unique voice unchanged. We all miss him a lotand are sure that he is and always will be still around .
